The Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicle is an Australian-built wheeled armoured vehicle selected by the Australian Army after trials and developed further by the ADI Thales Australia Bendigo Facility.

The Problem:
ADI had serious concerns about the ongoing economic viability of ADI Bendigo Facility including the possibility that without the improvement in quality and productivity the program would be migrated to GMDA’s Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV).

The Results:
Secured the technical and economic viability of the Australian Army Bushmaster Project which, grew to over 1,000 vehicles.

The Process:
Our EAB member organisation was engaged to assist in embedding world’s best practice in automotive design and manufacture to make business critical process re-engineering and productivity improvements. The quality management principles developed were embedded in Business Plans, Organisation and Job Design as the foundation of quality within the ADI Bushmaster Project.
